I'd like to think they're taking so long because they're having trouble deciding. But I know that is not true. They'll send out rejects on the 14th of april, for now they've forgotten about my application.Terrible people run their department.

Any idea as to when berkeley will decide? April 15 just around the corner

Is anyone here yet to hear back from them? I submitted my application in the first week of December and still haven't heard from them!

Accepted offer with full scholarship and teaching assistantship.

Is there still anybody waiting to hear from UCSD? No interview, no email, nothing. I am most likely waiting for a rejection. Was rejected from everywhere I applied with having a high GPA, numerous publications, and a masters degree from a decent American university. Most probably because I wanted to change my research area.

To those who have been waitlisted, was it communicated by the dept. or you had to email and ask them? I haven't heard anything yet.........

From a pure statistical viewpoint, the number of people who posted on the forum as accepted to the PhD program last year is about the same as the number of people who have gotten accepted thus far this year. Brace yourselves, mass rejections are coming. Predictions are based purely on statistical sampling.

So what's the deal with Berkeley?!!!

Finally! After 6 rejects, an admit at last. Admitted to the Masters (Coursework) program but I'll take this over nothing.

As far as I've heard, just about no one has been denied, and the waitlist email was more of a status update letting you know they have not forgotten about you and that they are still matching students to projects. I'd assume they will be back to everyone by the 15th, as the email implied projects opening up until mid-April. Good Luck!
