I am sorry to report that the Ph.D. Admissions Committee is not able to invite you into our program at the current time. We had an extremely strong pool of applicants this year, and only accepted a fraction of those who applied. Our admissions decisions reflect a variety of factors, including faculty availability and fit with the student’s substantive areas of interest. Thank you for your interest in our program. We recognize and appreciate the strengths that you may bring to a doctoral program and we wish you well in pursuing your educational goals. Rejections suck, but I don't know if I was the best fit for this program, anyway.

Interviewed over Skype on 1/25... got a call the next day

Applied for early notification. E-mail said that they had reviewed my application, would make a decision this week and send it to the Office of Graduate Admissions. Email said I would receive a decision email from them in the earlier half of February.

Accepted with a large scholarship only 12 days after submitting the application. I already received admission from my top choice but this was kind of fun!

First school I've heard back from, way earlier than I expected!

Received an email telling me I had been admitted

Applied for early notification. E-mail said that they had made their decisions but are sending them on to the Graduate Admissions for them to confirm and send e-mails out (3 whole weeks!!! WHAT). Said people should receive notice before Feb 15,2016.
