First rejection. ='( Was a different engineering major in undergrad, where I only took 3 bioE courses (no biology courses). Obviously my lack of related courses on my transcript won't fully explain my rejection but I get a feeling it definitely contributed.

Those who got invited for the open house at UCSD, did you get an interview beforehand? I had a Skype interview, but did not receive the invite for the open house (international)...

Interviewed with faculty 5 days before being accepted. Chemical Biology track.

I can not understand that how did they take %30 internationals while rejecting lots of internationals.

Oh well. Probably would have mastered out anyways due to the proximity of beaches
