Got an email with acceptance and funding

Anyone else put on the waitlist at MIT hear anything yet? Not getting my hopes up but have other offers and am trying to start thinking about making a decision.

The graduate admissions process for the 2020-21 academic year is now complete. I am truly sorry to inform you that we are not offering you admission to the Interdepartmental Program in Transportation at MIT. The number of applicants to the graduate program far exceeds the number that can be accommodated and therefore only a small fraction of applicants can be accepted. We appreciate your interest in our program and hope that you are able to pursue your graduate studies elsewhere.

A quite vapid 20min interview 2 weeks ago. Generic rejection today. Doesn't feel good. Regardless, the deeper I look into the SES program the more uninteresting it appears to be. Good look for the other candidates.

Undergraduate graduating in spring 2021 with double major in engineering and public policy areas. Relevant laboratory research and policy internships (3).

i am the waitlisted person. yes, it was an official email, and no, I did not reach out to inquire first.

Still haven't heard from them. Assuming that's a rejection?

MS only application

I have not received a email regrading status as well. Should we assume we are rejected?

ttpb did you get an official waitlist email?

TTPB: when is your interview date? I didn't hear anything after the interview, no waitlist no rejection

asked to fill out google form to be on waitlist

I wish MIT just send out the rejection letters. At this point, no acceptance, no waitlist, then the logical conclusion is rejection. It should not take that much to send all of us just one word.
