Thank you for your application to the PhD program in the MIT Department of Biology. We had a large number of highly qualified applicants this year and unfortunately we are unable to offer you a place in our program. We wish you the best of luck in pursuing your education at another institution and with all of your future work. We greatly appreciate your interest in our program.

for fall 2023

I applied for the MAS program at the NCB Lab to begin in Fall 2023. Its website says that the candidates receive assignments right after getting shortlisted. In previous years, shortlisted candidates received their assignments in the first week of December. Has any current applicant received any assignments yet? No assignment till now means a rejection right?
