I understand that throwing schools that waitlist/reject you under the bus is something of a trope, but this was also my safest application, rankings-wise. I didn't think it was a good research fit either, though, so we appear to both be on the same page. --Roadrunner

Anyone get any status updates for biostatistics program yet?

Received admission. Did not receive funding. Anybody out there received funding for Biostatistics Phd from LSUHSC?

Rejected from the PhD program (I was on the waitlist since January 31st; they said they won't be accepting anyone else from the waitlist for PhDs) and accepted into the masters' program.

to the post below, I got response on Mar 5th from Admissions coordinator saying "if you have yet to receive a decision you are still being considered for the program and expect decision in few weeks." Not received any update yet.

I emailed someone from the department a couple of weeks ago to ask if I'll be updated regarding my admissions status, but I never heard back.

Got offer with 35000k (5 year package funding). Excited folks.........

anyone familiar with this program? My goal of phd is to become a professor, but not sure if their training is good or not. Also, cannot find information about alumni.
