Anyone else still waiting to hear from Penn MEAM? Why are they soooo slow

Hi, Has anyone applying to the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering gotten any response to their application? I can see applicants from other departments getting accepted/rejected. Has anyone contacted them?

Applied for master's in mechanical engineering (microfabrication) via job posting, which was to be funded by both private company and govt grants. Interviewed with POI, he was extremely laid back and kept making fun of himself and his interest, even going as far as to say he just wanted an engineer to not ask questions and just do grunt work all day. Never heard back, I guess he didn't like my personality.

I'm the guy who posted saying I got an admit email on the 4th. But the status on my portal changed to "denied" on the 7th. I sent them an email pointing it out to them. Now it says "in review" again, but still no word on my original email asking me to accept/decline by the 15th. I have tried emailing and calling the grad admissions coordinator but have been unable to reach them. Confused! Just wish they clarify my status asap, it is already the 18th today. I have no other open offers. 0a/6r/4p

Has anyone heard from them yet?? When are they going to give us an update? Its mid April now.

To the poster above: Even I have not recieved any information about funding. Do we need to contact professors for RAship? Or do we have to wait and hope we will receive some kind of funding from them?

To the post below, although its rolling admission, in the web page they say most of the offers are made by April 15. I had contacted one of the faculty to whom I wish to work and he said that decision would be made quite soon and this was more than a month ago!

Really guys? This late? And no funding? And I've never spoken to a more rude admissions committee or faculty. So arrogant.

To the poster below: I have not heard back from them, too. UMD has sent out some decisions with both offers and rejections. They say in the web page that they give rolling admissions so the only thing we can do is just to wait. Any information you have if you don't mind sharing?

Anyone heard back from them? It's close to April 15 and according to the website it says that all the decisions will be done by this date for Fall 2017.

I was on the waitlist for awhile, and I decided to email them to ask if I needed to tell them that I was still interested in being considered, since the original email had been a little vague. He emailed me right back apologizing for not telling me I was now accepted to the PhD program, with tuition waiver and TA fellowship!

They are so tough with their requirements on students, especially for international students. UCSB only recruit very few students for masters each year.
