YAAAYYY!!

Canadian Applicant. Applied Math Undergrad. Recently received. Can't tell if I was close to an admit or not. I don't think that I would have been taking this program either way had I been accepted, but it still hurts. Wondering where I may have gone wrong, if I had a poor SOP and letters or if this year was just particularly competitive and my grades were not up to par.

The status was updated on April 8, but I did not receive an email. I decided to check the portal yesterday and saw the acceptance. Very happy.

TTPB: I was also rejected from Cornell Meng Ithaca but accepted to Cornell Tech Meng. Tbh, getting rejected from the main campus ruined Cornell Tech for me as well. If I were to accept Cornell Tech, I'd just feel like a Cornell main campus reject. So yeah, I'm personally not choosing Cornell Tech from my acceptances (although regardless of the main campus decision I wouldn't have chosen Cornell/Cornell Tech since I've got better admits).

MEng CS. Got the same email as the poster below. Can't help but feel bitter after making us wait so long just for a reject. Now I've got to decide whether I want Cornell Tech or USC. Anyone in the same shoes?

MEng in CS. Just received the email: "Apologies if you are receiving this more than once. April 9, 2021 Dear XXX, On behalf of the Faculty of Computing and Information Science, I regret to inform you that your application for admission to the Master of Engineering Program in Computer Science has not been approved."

Definitely going there.

Be on waitlist since 17 Mar'21. Program director e-mail me to wait until 15 Apr 21 before making decision to choose other school. As their commitment, I got reject on 15 Apr. Although rejection, I was appreciated with the team to keep their word and periodically inform the status of admission to the applicant.

"We will continue to admit individuals from the waitlist (space provided) through June 1."

I can't decide between Cornell Tech and Columbia. Any ideas?

Was expecting this for a while, but it took them almost 5 months to do it. Somewhat unprofessional to wait until the deadline to give back any information.

OMG! We've reached April 15th and I still haven't heard a final decision from Cornell. This is so disrespectful! I've been in touch with the Director fo Grad Studies from my program and he keeps answering my emails with general answers, without kicking me out or accepting me. My whole life depends on it, I have to move out from my city, for example, and they keep feeding some hope to me, but without giving a definitive answer, even after the supposed deadline. I'm really pissed out, but can't be disrespectful with them on email. Sorry for the outburst. Anyone else in the same boat?

REALWAITLIST (MENG). Please reject the offer if you plan to not attend. I applied to 10 schools and Cornell is the last school of hope :'(

Is anyone still going to decline?

Well, that's it. Received a total of 14 out 14 rejections. Yes, that's what happened. Had a single backup, which did not work, because Covid. So, I guess FML.
