3 internships, 1 year of research experience, no GRE, 3 strong rec letters. Applied for electromagnetics and remote sensing.

Was interviewed way back (around Oct last year). I was told it would be an offer but still no official announcement yet. I contacted the PI few days ago but am still waiting for the offer letter. From dept website they wrote that offers would be sent soon

Received an email to check the admissions portal. Fully funded with $20K 9 month stipend.

Finally, I was invited for an interview today by an email from one of the professors I have mentioned in my SOP. It is a weird year to apply. Don't lose your hope.

TTPB to the person asking for admissions at RICE ECE department. My interviewing professor contacted me that the department has decided to give me an offer for a Ph.D but the official letter has to be sent from RICE GPS office. That being said, officially I am still waitlisted. Has it ever happened for the GPS office to decline offers even though the department has decided to give an offer to a particular person?

Received an email that the status has been updated. Unexpectedly surprised! Super excited. Have 7yoe in industry. GPA 3.02 in physics from the top tech university in Russia. Took CS master's degree courses online in another US university - GPA 4.0 overall. Looking for the social group for admitted to GaTech.

Went to GT for undergrad (different major). Worth the wait (kinda)! Leaning towards taking it.

TTPB: I've looked through a decent amount of this website and haven't seen anybody talk about interviewing for EECS MEng. On the website they say they only interview you if they still have questions for you. So there's probably a group that are definite admits that won't get interviews and a group of definite rejects that also won't get interviews. So there's definitely a chance you'll still make it in.

[Not waitlist]. To the post in Mar.17, my delayed decision is due to absent of official transcript. It takes some time after I submit the requested materials.

[ignore WL]; TTPB: I applied for the Non thesis degree. You've got any idea on where they are with the admissions? I contacted the department via minerva, and they said results would be sent every week till the end of April it seems.

TTPB: I haven't received a decision yet either. The only contact I received from UC Berkeley was an invitation to interview back on March 3rd. It seems like there were two rounds of interviews one March 3-5 and another March 14-15. But I haven't seen any acceptances or rejections for the EECS MEng program

TTPB: First round of PhD admits were out some time around Feb-end, while MS admits were rolled out through March from the Dept. Not sure about official offers from Grad committee though. Let's hope for the best.
