I accepted immediately for four reasons: a great advisor who is successful, ambitious, and kind; an exciting project from a top US company; a friendly campus environment with supportive individuals in the program; and a comprehensive funding package including stipend, insurance, and tuition. The stipend amounts to a minimum of about 28,000(pre−candidacy)/39,000 (once in candidacy). Thank God, my endeavors paid off;
