I thought I had an ''A'' chance of getting in since he asked me to apply.... I send mails to the unit and they keep saying my application is still being reviewed... please can anyone enlighten me on how addmission works in ryerson?

I feel blessed for being accepted at the University of Calgary. It has been a long wait and ultimately Calgary turned out to be my fortune. Thanks be to God, Thank You JESUS.

Contacted the Mech Dept on the status of my application and got this response. "Your application was received and is under review. As you have applied for a MS Thesis degree, you will be required to have a sponsor before you will be admitted. Please contact faculty with whom you share common research interests and attempt to get one of them to sponsor you in their lab." How will I get a professor to sponsor this late ? Anyone faced with the same issue please contact on sunmak8697(at)gmail(dot)com. So weird they didn't mention it in the requirements or earlier on.

Has anyone gotten any emails from them? (MEng) I know they want me to send them a hard copy of my transcript, but the current status is still under consideration and also is it a good sign or just another process?

Finally, they made a decision. This university's Profs are worst in replying to emails. They ask you to mail the professors if any RA position is available but nobody replies to emails. Anyways, got a better admit so no worries.

Anyone still waiting to hear from Utah?? I have applied on Dec 1st and not heard anything yet.

To the poster below, the thesis based MSc and the MEng are differently programs because the first one is research based while the other is completely course based. My profile: BSc from Russell Group UK university. Slightly over 2 years lab experience - both research and industry. Top of undergraduate class. One publication in international journal and one in process. Had been a summer intern at U of A last year.
