What is up with UT's ACSES admission committee? Still haven't received my result. I'm going to call them to find out as I will just have to goto different Grad school if they cannot give me the result anytime soon.

ACSES applicant here. The few days promise is a joke. No one from the University is willing to respond. Tried checking with someone studying in the department and heard results are delayed due to COVID. Why don't they just send a circular or something if they're not taking in new students? PhD applicants here, have you spoken to any Prof before applying who might know what to expect? I think it's time we initiate a group mail with the University graduate office.

I mailed Barry regarding the admission results and he says he does not know Sh*t when the results will be out. We understand that due to current situation there can be delays but this is highly unacceptable from such a prestigious university. Sorry to say but their Grad Team is full of Sh*t and highly unprofessional. F**K this university.

I too didn't get the admission decision. I applied for PhD in Computer Architecture. Did anyone get the decision?

Is there anyone who didn't get the decision yet for other tracks than ACSES? I also got the reply from Barry last Tuesday and was told that the decision will be made within few days.

TTPB: What's your track? Can you paste the response you got from the Grad Coordinator? Also, did you get your decision?

Finally, the result will come! the program coordinator replied to my email. In the email, he stated all ECE admission results will come in this week. All future students will receive results. Feel free to connect with the school if you don't receive a result in a week.

Emailed Barry Levitch (program coordinator), he pardoned the lateness of decisions, however he says that reviews are still going on and admits will also be given out in the weeks to come.

TTPB: I got admitted in this PhD program ,but no mention of funding.Unable to contact professors too. Dont knw what to do

UT Austin ACSES MS/PhD applicants: 1. Has anyone heard back at all? 2. Why is the department hesitant to send out a decision even after 8 months? 3. Are there any current undergrad students who happen to know what's the situation? Thanks for reading!

After over 5 months of waiting......I got a very rude rejection. Even though I have already accepted another offer, but I am always wondering what the heck has happened?

Why does it take so long???

Seems like they are not taking any more students and hence they start rejecting applicants. If anyone has got the offer, please post it here. I don't know when my decision will come.

Got a mail today that status was updated.

After so long, so many emails later... no notification emails or letters too. Just 'Denied' written on the portal. Anyway, I've deferred all of my plans, so next year maybe! Good luck to all those selected!

Took them long enough to deny me. Oh well I was already accepted to a better school anyways.
