Disappointing :( email was generic and was posted on the application portal. Apparently they received record breaking good applications this season. International, 3 years of research experience, 1 publication, masters degree and high distinction in both bachelors and masters.

Applied to the Hopkins Marine Station, not surprised with the rejection though.

no email correspondence after my initial video call with advisor and attendance of a lab meeting. A rejection that I expected as the lab doesn't match research interests precisely. The personality didn't fit quite well either.

I was invited to the recruitment event (Feb. 14-16). According to the email, they are inviting 15 applicants.

TTPB: I heard they already had one round of interviews and have another interview weekend coming up soon so I think they should be sending out interview invites this week, or have already sent them all out. I of course am not an admission committee member so I do not know anything for sure just passing along the info I have heard to provide some form of an answer. Best of luck to you this cycle! Interviews 8-15th Feb

My POI email me an unofficial update that I will not be offered acceptance.

Emailed them and got an email back that said my app was still under review so I'm assuming decisions will come out this week

Generic email. 1.5 years undergrad research experience, 1.5 years post-bacc research experience. The faculty member I reached out to never responded to my email.
