unofficial acceptance via email. Status still says "under review"

Under review

Did any international student receive an offer from the University of Toronto for their MSc program?

Applied for the PT MA Higher Education. Received an e-mail from the Chair of Admissions that my application is better suited for the funded FT MA, and afterwards received confirmation of my admission.

Yes, a couple weeks ago and again a few days ago.

TTB: Congratulations! Were you interviewed? If so, when?

Was accepted without an interview. They asked me to meet them on Zoom to tell me about the offer.

Email from the associate chair. Portal status is "under review".

TTPB (Toronto): Mine's also "under review". Most of the results posted here are rejections, so it seems they're still going thru the applications. Past entries suggest they'd send out another round of results in a week or two. Ofc, this may just be me thinking wishfully.

TTP on Feb. 11: Thanks for replying. Do they usually interview all their desired applicants? Should one find a potential supervisor to be considered? I named some on my SOP only. Fingers crossed for both of us.

I was asked to say who I received an email from, and it was the chair fo the program

To the question below, I applied on January 15th. I haven't heard anything yet, but in previous years the average time to decision was about a month, so we might hear back soon. Best of luck to you!
