Anyone in the accepted fiction cohort feeling "ambivalent" about Iowa like the previous poetry poster and thinking of going with another program?

Got an email saying to check portal (for an obvious rejection) for my admission decision. I agree with the post below, pretty rude letter that they couldn't even manage to put in an automatic email and send out. Not sad about not attending this program after the language that has been used in their communications and even in their website.

If you aren’t planning on accepting your offer, let them know! I really want in.

A pretty rude rejection email. Interim Dean: " the faculty of the program to which you applied (Creative Writing - MFA - Fiction) has not recommended your admission...I support their decision and therefore cannot offer you admission." COOL. Good to know you support their decision!

I already accepted an offer from another school.

To fellow accepted/waitlisted applicants waiting for my answer: I am 80% certain that I will accept NMSU. I'm waiting on another school regarding GAship, but they are so disorganized. They literally JUST told me I had to fill out a separate application sheet for the GAship, and the deadline to respond is NEXT WEEK! I'm probably going to wait it out and see because there are more pros for me in Ohio than NM, but I don't know if I want to deal with Ohio's BS anymore. With NM, I got GAship. So if you're waitlisted for the GAship, then sorry for making you wait. This is also a heads up that 8/10 I will accept NMSU. I'll probably post again before I respond.

After ten rejections over two years, this feels sublime. Waitlisted for a graduate assistantship. (Good luck to those still waiting at this stage -- there's still hope!)

Speaking of programs... could someone please gie me some insight about the reputation of UNCW? I was accepted there, UMASS Boston and Hollins, all with funding, and I have to choose because of the TAship offers TOMORROW. Please help with some info and advice! Thank you.

Has anyone heard about movement on Michigan's waitlist? It's my top choice, but I've got another offer I'm happy with and not sure if I should wait it out...seems like in previous years, more people had gotten off the waitlist by now
