Linguistics, Thought that I am a good fit.

Finally heard back. Congrats to who gets in.

GMAT 750 / TOEFL 114

Application submitted on Feb. 17, 2023; took only 2 weeks to receive a rejection

Has anyone heard back re acceptances or rejections? or any idea when the department will be announcing?

Called for application info and was told everyone who was admitted received an email already. Such a shame, but also somewhat expected. Applied directly from undergrad.

We regret to advise you that we have been unable to take favorable action on your application. --- Says the decision. I am an international student.

I knew I was going to be rejected because when I asked for a fee waiver and it was denied because I didn't score at least a 100 on my TOEFL test (I had 95).

Got accepted! For reference, I have three research papers and one foreign research internship.

ML-focused application. CS bachelors from a top IIT. 2 very good LORs from guides and an average international prof LOR. (in software) 1 internship and 8 months current experience in Big Tech.

4.0 for SLHS classes, child care experience, volunteering, and research lab.

Ignore the status. Anyone received any update (interview/acceptance/rejection)? I emailed the office regarding the decision date and got the generic reply (first acceptance in Jan and first rejection in Feb). Why is it so silent this year here?
