Typical rejection letter. I've been in close contact with my potential adviser for the past few years so this one was a hard one to hear.

I did my undergrad there, have great grades and good relationships with several faculty. However the two who would be the best fit for a supervisor are both on sabbatical next year, so, this does make sense. I have offers from elsewhere - glad I applied to several places!

Why haven't I received my decision (probably rejection) yet?

I was told in my interview that they should be sending out results in the coming week

Accepted into the XE masters program... will turn down, nearly impossible to fund in a city with the highest cost of living

Has anyone heard anything from JHU after interview?

Email a few days ago from the grad school stating I've been accepted. Later email from the department grad coordinator with details - TA position and modest entrance scholarship.

ttpb don't fret! it often takes official letters longer to come around. if you've been informally accepted, you are as good as in :)

I've been informally accepted by the department last week (2/28)...but still no official offer letter. Very strange. IDK what to do at this point. Contact in the department said I should receive a letter by this week. So I'll wait til Friday I guess
