The financial offer is to make sure that you accept their financial support. Of cource you are admitted to PhD program, otherwise they won't give you fellowship...

Rejected for traditional MS ECE program and accepted to the PMP program for which classes are in the evening. My primary area of interest was embedded systems. Received the email from the PMP department on 3rd March 12:00 PM( PST)

Got interviewed by my POI on the 10th of Feb and no response afterwards. upon emailing him, he told me he would not recommend me for admission and pointed out I might still be recommended by another professor. my first implicit rejection.....2 remaining..haha

i don't understand what you are talking about. i also had financial offer which states they hope i will elect to pursue grad study there. i applied only for phd. you guys telling that if i accept the offer, i might not get admitted because they didn't admitted me to phd? why the hell would they send financial offer, then? why would they assign me an advisor in the letter?

I also received a letter only talking about my financial support. The portal online still shows under review. The offer letter requires my signature in order to accept the offer.

Do not waste your money unless you have got the positive response from a professor. This university rejects easily with no email!

I had an "interview" in October when I contacted a professor in the subject area and we spoke over the phone. I hear nothing until yesterday. Also I am a Domestic student! Hopefully that helps.
