Had not heard anything, I checked my account and was waitlisted

Hi guys! Anyone who has decided to go someplace else, please decline the Columbia's offer. Some of you might be holding multiple offers and might be procrastinating in taking any decision. Now or after two months you have to take the same decision. Why not take that decision right now and do some good deed. I am sure the universe will pay you back. :)

Those who've been selected off the waitlist - congratulations!! What timelines have you been given to make your decision?

Was waitlisted before. Received my admit decision some time back. GRE-318 (Q-165). GPA-8.5 from a tier-1 Indian university. No research papers. Internships as a data scientist at a tech giant, at one of the big4 consultancy firms in risk management, and one in software development at a mid-tier Indian firm.

TOEFL 108. Admitted from the waitlist! email to check the website.

Have any NYU Data Science wait-listed folks received any decisions? And those who were accepted, please let us know the proposed deadline for accepting the offer.

To the previous poster of this program, I feel your sentiment too. I even emailed them a few weeks back (because I have offers from outside the US and they don't adhere to the April 15th resolution) to prompt them to respond asap and all I got was a reply "We have completed our academic evaluation of your application and notified your intended graduate department. Because of the varied factors involved in the graduate department review process, we cannot give you an estimate of when you might expect the decision." The application that required the most effort out of all that I did and yet the one that took the longest to respond (if ever at all). Perhaps I should just go ahead with my other options outside of the US.

Submitted the application before 12/15, and now is 4/15. FOUR months and no information at all. What a university!

I just got the digital interview invite from Columbia today. Can anyone share what kind of questions they ask? I've been rejected to almost all other programs, but Columbia is my dream school so I would love to be accepted there. Any help is appreciated! Congrats to all who got their acceptance so far!

Still waiting. Digital 1 way interview in late March. 3 out of 3 recommenders received a request to verify yesterday. Not sure if the recommendation verification is for everyone, but I'd guess it's only for select folks. I have a slightly non-traditional background. Additionally, all 3 of my recommenders work in companies without a public database confirming their employment status, identity, email address, etc.

I have not gotten any message concerning my application status. Does anyone know why.
