Sad, but happy with the offers I have.

Happened to log into the admissions portal today and there was a status update. Have not received an email yet. Very short and informal letter for a $100+ application fee. "Thank you for your interest in graduate studies at Columbia. We received many compelling applications this year, only a few of which we were able to accept. I regret to inform you that after evaluating a very strong cohort of applicants, the Faculty Committee on Admissions for the PhD program in Theatre and Performance is unable to offer you admission to that program. I know that this is unpleasant news. Nevertheless, I can assure you that your application received the most careful consideration, and that the committee made this decision after much deliberation. I wish you success in your future career, and thank you for having given us the opportunity to consider you for admission to Columbia."

Applied with an MSc with Distinction and 5 years of research experience, no interview so expected :( Wishing everyone luck, you are all so capable its tough out here!!

Not surprised as my research experience is not super geared towards public health but more all over the place. Not sad either cuz I have received better offers! International student with highest degree from the US
