No publication, no research experience, no work experience, excellent GPA, Computer Engineering undergrad from Sharif University of Technology, Iran. An expected reject! :)

Expected. UCB was way out of my league!

it's late, maybe picked out from waiting list

Generic email that forwards you to online system. Typical rejection letter that says they had to deny many highly qualified applicants.

Unofficial email from the program co chair

Can anybody say whether all applicants have been finalized? I mean, those who were answering my mails before, now, is keeping mum. And gradcafe shows a lot of accepted candidates. Can I assume I will be rejected?

third rejection in 24 hours. oh well.

Generic email to check status on website. Probably better this way since it wasn't the best fit, but I applied anyway because, well, it's Berkeley.

Received an email directing me to the application status website. Absolutely floored to have been accepted! Was not expecting this in my wildest dreams. Ecstatic!

Would greatly appreciate if those accepted but not attending declined their offer sooner than later!
