To the Penn State University Park's admits, when did you receive yours? Did you get a mail to check the status? Mine still shows under review.

Did anyone get the AD in PSU? How is the program?

Finally a big relief on seeing the rejection (lol)

It says "Your intended program/PLAN of study has completed the first step of the admissions process and has offered you admission pending an eligibility review by the Graduate School". I think it means I am accepted. I have already accepted offer from another university, going to decline this one, their program weird already, it was a last resort. Good luck to everyone.

I just saw all of your discussions regarding the program. I was accepted fairly late via email to the MS + PhD Program after I had already communicated with my other schools. I decided to accept elsewhere because I had built a relationship with a professor that I got on with really well. I hope this offers some help to you guys.

Finally got out of the waiting list! Will accept it.

Short email from the admissions chair. "We had a very, very strong admission pool for the Fall 2018 entry class and we were only able to extend offers to ten students." As I expected this late in the season. Wish they'd communicated better/more with me earlier on though :/

I have rejected today their offer of TAship (3/4th) since I was not able to find suitable professor with whom I may work. Some prof in Thermal sciences don't accept non-US students.

I am from Penn State, and I also apply for the master program here. I asked Dr. Joshua Inwood who is in charge of the admission committee last week, and he told me the department only accepted 7 students this year (ms + Ph.D., they usually accepted 12). So everyone else will need to wait until someone declines the offer. Hope this helps!

Yep! Also still waiting. Assume I'm on wait list but would appreciate knowing how far down on the list I am, or when I might expect to know.

Previously on the waitlist. Got: "Our numbers are becoming clearer, and we will not have room in the program for you next year. I’m sorry the news isn’t better." Will try again when it's time for a PhD!
