Applied for chemical physics theory. 2 years of research experience, one computational physics and a senior biochem thesis course. Also worked as a RA in a chemistry research lab my final year. No TA experience in undergrad. My letters of rec were good (I think?). Was notified of acceptance via email, with official letter coming in a week or two.

Checked application portal and it said Decision Made

Applied to MS got an offer for direct PhD instead. Will probably not take it, already got an offer from Stanford.

Has anyone else still not heard? My application just says 'under review' still

To the poster below, I'm considering rejecting my offer from U of T but only if I'm taken off the waitlists for two other programs. Hopefully that happens soon and will post here if I reject U of T. Fingers crossed!

Got an email to check the website for status. I kinda expected it, but still heartbroken :(

Field - Robotics/AI. Interviewed w/ POI in Jan. Applied for MSc. but ended up requesting POI to offer a direct Ph.D. (which he did).

Anyone thinking about declining Utoronto's PhD offer?

To those who have posted already: I have not received an official letter of admission, but the associate director did reach out to me with some follow-up questions about my application on 02/05. I don't exactly know how common this is, which is annoying because I have already been accepted to other programs. For reference, I applied to and was rejected from the MA program in 2019 and I did not receive the letter until early April (although I had already put two and two together when they rejected my sshrc).
