TTPB: My specialization is in additive manufacturing of energetic materials for propulsion. The faculty member is a new assistant professor whose group will be working at Zucrow. I will probably accept a competing offer instead. If you've not heard back from Purdue ME faculty, you will probably not be admitted to Ph.D. but could be admitted to MS. In the latter case, reach out to professors and see if you can get TA/RA funding for MS, and then continue as Ph.D. student. Best of luck!

To the person with his/her area as Controls, what do you mean by vague email? Can you please elaborate. I have applied in the same area but there is radio silence. :(

I am a control guy. I had received a vague unofficial email from POI in early March and haven't got any official letters till now. Is there any person whose area of concentration is control and got official letter from the ME department?

Excited! Received an admit from both Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering Departments.

Received an invitation for an interview to the M.Eng program at Cornell. The director and assistant director of the program were both present. They asked general questions about my resume, experience, and SOP. Received the offer of admissions on the spot. So exciting!!!

To other applicants who are on Princeton Engineering's waitlist - did you receive a zoom invite to their discussion about first-year grad school experience? The email said "congratulations on your admission to grad school" which was super confusing. Is this just their courtesy move to invite the wl people as well? Good luck to everyone out there waiting!

Got the generic email to check my status in the application portal. Rejected even though I went here for undergrad with pretty good stats.

Has anyone received any mail regarding scholarship results yet?

Received an email telling me my application status has been updated, and found the acceptance letter in the portal. The letter also stated that I would receive any notification of scholarships, fellowships, or assistantships in a separate letter.

Hello candidate below who got acceptance from Purdue Mechanical Phd, can you please tell what is your specialization or lab or professor? I am still waiting to hear from Purdue, no communication yet.

Applied in January with 2 research experiences, 3 internships, 3 senior design projects, and 4 letters of rec (1 emeritus prof, 1 assistant prof, 1 project scientist, 1 from industry). Received acceptance via email notification, and full offer letter two days later. Super happy!

Has anyone heard anything from either the MS or MEng in mechanical engineering? I went to UMD for undergrad, not the best GPA but recommendations from two UMD professors and one former employer - have research experience

Hello, anyone heard from grad school yet concerning decisions ?

Contacted 3 POIs, but no one replied...got rejection with expectation, whatever... I have better choices...It's their loss not to give me admission...
