I didn't receive any email today as well.....

ME major looking to switch to ECE. Was going to Georgia Tech instead anyway.

ttpb who mentions the waitlist email, was the email received from the chairperson an official waitlist email or a reply to a status update that you sent first?

Even I have received no information either through email or through the portal regarding decision on my application. Does that mean I am waitlisted, according to a recent post below?

Applied for the PhD program (research area: power electronics) and opted to be considered for MS incase rejected for PhD. Didn't get any official email/portal notification, but my application page now automatically changed from "PhD application" to "Professional MS application". So that makes it a PhD reject and hence my profile was moved on to Prof. MS review.

Areas: AI/ML. Had a discussion with POI. Don't know the decision yet.

TTPB: No, I haven't heard anything from the department except for the email, which says the deadline (not the hard one) is May 1 because of too many applications. Honestly, I have no hopes of getting any positive outcome. I believed my application was very strong, but now I am pretty much hopeless! Which area did you apply to?

TTPB: Texas was worst hit in the recent WINTER STORM. Due to this there is a significant delay (atleast 2 weeks) in the normal administrative activities. I guess they are rolling out decisions just now. I would say you should wait.

copypaste email from EECS admission chair saying I've been waitlisted along with ~50 others across EECS subareas. EECS apply portal is still blank.

Is anyone else yet to hear anything from UMich ECE? Should the people still waiting for a response consider themselves waitlisted or rejected?

TTPB, I have all but given up on receiving anything from TAMU at this point.

No one got any email today? Can some please confirm about anything from University? Confused actually.!

Interviewed by two professors in the field of Computer Architecture. Got an offer from one of the professors. The official letter from the university will be given in a week or two.

non-EE undergrad from top US college, 2 research experiences and internships, no publications.

Top canadian universities had been competitive for the term Sept 2021 due to the fact that there are many deferments from previous terms. The deferments are due to the Covid Lockdown. So apart from the already deferred admits, the chance of admit for a new applicant is very very little.

Is this waiting period ever gonna end?
