I am writing with the unfortunate news that we will not be able to make you an offer to join PiN. We just heard from the school that we are not allowed to make any additional offers this year. I am appreciative for your patience throughout this process and am sorry I do not have positive news on this occasion. We are convinced you will have an excellent scientific career and are excited to see the things you do in your PhD. Rejected after waitlist (and in-person interview)

Good SOP and LORs. Low GRE scores. Application was submitted in January. Reached out to individual faculty members and was never able to make contact. No funding available. Good luck everyone still waiting :)

I had good pre-apply Skype as well as on-site interview. I just think they knew they were not my top choice.

Hi everyone, just a PSA to not even waste your time applying to NYU they literally pick who they want before the interviews and even if you change their mind at the interview they will just throw you on a fake waitlist and make you wait until right before the deadline just to reject you (and not even inform you of the waitlist you are on, complete ghosting situation for 3 months). I contacted several people just to inquire about my standing for admission with NO ANSWERS until less than 10 days before the deadline to accept offers. Honestly I received 0 respect from the entire grad administration at NYU and it was a terrible experience
