Sad but not surprised I know they had a bunch of applications and I wasn't the strongest candidate. Maybe I'll be back for my PhD I'm not sure

Heartbroken, but I suppose it makes sense given how competitive this programme is. I have a first authored paper, social science UG from RG in UK, etc. Congrats to those admitted and good luck to the rest!

(NOT WL) Has anybody heard from the new school for social science? They are supposed to start sending out offers/rejections Mid March.

TTPB: same here! I saw people posting about rejection a few weeks ago, but I have heard nothing from them. No interviews and no rejections. I assume maybe we got waitlisted for the waitlist?

Undergrad from a top 5 IIT. 1 conference paper + 2 in submission. Great GPA and projects, but not a crisp SOP. Congrats to those who got in.

Received the rejection at 2 am

2AM email - 1st in combined econ/area studies degree from top 5 Russell, one co-authored publication, and a year and a half of (unrelated) work experience. Best of luck to those still waiting!

Went to UNC-Chapel Hill for undergrad, currently taking a class in the school of social work. Volunteering with vulnerable populations consistently since elementary school and have been a social work intern (30 hours/week) for the past year.

Submitted application on 3-12. Received a status update e-mail on 3-19. Awarded a 17k scholarship as well! I'm so happy! I did not expect to hear back so soon.
