Shocked by this, interview weekend went well. I wouldn't have attended anyway so this made the process of accepting offer from other school easier. But still a bit shocked.

To the poster below. Professor contacted me 3 days after the interview for an unofficial offer and I accepted. If you haven't got the offer, don't worry. It will come to your email in a few days.

To the Iowa poster below, do you know how many applicants they're admitting this year and if all offers have been given out? Also how many days after your first interview did they contact you?

Received an email with enclosed funding information, half-time TA offer & tuition waiver. Applied for Plasma Physics research. I had a discussion about the research and the department over the phone with a researching faculty member about a month ago. I'm quite happy about this acceptance!

I applied for pure math but the school wants me to get into applied math with TA.
