accepted into the MA Program in the Social Sciences instead, 50% funded

Email from faculty member letting me know I've been accepted. Said decisions are all made and coming out very soon.

To the person below, did you get your funding letter as a separate email or in your acceptance letter? I was accepted a few weeks back so it looks like we will be in class together!

Has anyone heard from USF yet? I emailed on Friday 3/6 to ask when we would expect to hear back. Received a response the same day that said expect to hear back within the next week or so. The faculty were finalizing their decision.

I am an international student and have my MA from a Canadian university. I have contacted them and asked about the status of my application and today I got an email that informed me I am on the waitlist since they have only 2 spots for international students in their Ph.D. program I think I should say bye to York.

To the poster asking about UVA after recruitment weekend: I was told that they sent out their first round of admissions and that I have been waitlisted, but only after I emailed them asking for an update. Seems strange that they didn't reach out to folks.

First-class first in my undergrad and have an MA too. Accepted but no funding. Will most likely have to decline. This was my dream school and program but I cannot afford it.

Emailed to check the status of my application, was informed that I was admitted with a large annual Dean's scholarship!

Accepted off the waiting list! Very excited.

Has anyone got any information regarding rejections?

I emailed the graduate coordinator and she informed me that they have offered admission to their first-round picks. Once those people accept/reject they will work their way through the waitlist. Sounds like if you haven't heard from them yet, you're on an unofficial waitlist.
