Applied from non stem major (cornell ILR school), although I had taken math through linear algebra, multiple stats classes, some cs classes. Accepted for spring 2021 but deferred to start fall 2021. 1 year of work experience at a prop shop.

I got admission in PhD program of statistics for spring 2022. Graduate coordinator told me that I'll get funding if someone who is admitted for Fall 2021 decides to go somewhere else or something like that. So I request if anyone not planning to attend BGSU for this fall, please notify that to the department.

Did my undergrad at a Liberal Arts and Sciences school (honors, cum laude), major in mathematics, took quite some statistics courses (which I passed with really good grades), no GRE because I studied in Europe, strong letters of motivation & rec (I think).

Ridiculous！It has been 4 months since the deadline of application. My status is still pre-screen, and nobody even replied my Email. Save your money!

Checked website for update. A 3.75 in stats, machine learning, and numerical analysis courses (6-7) and strong LORS helped compensate my GPA. Best of luck to everybody.

Canadian Applicant. Applied Math Undergrad. Recently received. Can't tell if I was close to an admit or not. I don't think that I would have been taking this program either way had I been accepted, but it still hurts. Wondering where I may have gone wrong, if I had a poor SOP and letters or if this year was just particularly competitive and my grades were not up to par.
