Applied to PhD, was accepted to professional Master's. But that's still an acceptance, so I'm going to be grateful for that! :)

Second rejection in a row that sucks...

Dual degree in undergrad, researched in a field other than chemistry, no publications, worked 2 years as a in industry as a chemist, good LOR and personal statement. Excited!

Was contacted for an interview and later invited for the visitation weekend on the 22nd.

Skype interview received on 1/9/2019, campus visit invitation received on 1/18/2019.

Email from POI congratulating me on offer of admission with funding. Official letter to arrive within a week.

Stunned. I never thought I would get accepted in what is the perfect match (academic interests and faculty research) and a much-higher ranked program (8th by NRC) than those who have not offered me admission in this process. Fully-funded, teaching assistantship, "guaranteed." Still shocked; happiness will manifest later in the day, I think.

To the people who were accepted, is there a visit day and if so, when is it?
