email from faculty

Phone call to ask permission to transfer my application to the MA East Asian Studies program.

email to check website; email from department came a week later

all expenses paid

Expected... But sad anyway...

Accepted by email after phone interview. Full funding for 5 years.

notification on online app, detailed offer letter to follow.

It's a sad thing indeed; but I wasn't sure if their academic orientation is a good match with my interests of research. Good that they reject me now; I could end up in a far worse situation to have entered the programme and realise I'm sort of in the wrong place.

had an interview last week, and then got the email on thursday

Graduate registrar says results should go out by the middle of next week. I know this department used to do phone interviews, though. Has anybody had an interview or gotten other news?

Expected. Surprisingly, not actually all that broken up about it...
