I had a really short interview with the Program Director (They mentioned it was only going to be ten minutes). Still awaiting a decision but very hopeful!!! Also for context I have very extensive leadership experience such as being an Associated Students Senator, president of a cultural organization, and was a research assistant to a PhD student.

If you are planning to pursue opportunities elsewhere, please let the admission office know. I really want to attend Irvine!

no GRE, email went to spam folder

GPA is MA. My top choice program! Absolutely thrilled.

Chemical Biology Track. No GRE, letters of rec from 2 PI's and one industrial chemist. 4 years of research experience, multiple internships in the industry, and worked as an undergraduate TA for 2 years.

Formal and informal interview

Interviewed 3 weeks ago, had a pretty good chat with professor

Sociocultural. Accepted—beyond excited! But my English score isn’t high enough. Hoping to boost my TOEFL Speaking score—if not, I’ll give up my spot for someone else. Good luck, everyone!

Hey, ignore the status—if you have received a rejection email or been waitlisted, could you please share? Despite the interview going well, this is really disappointing. How do they even choose candidates? Could anyone please share their experience? Thank you in advance!

Via email from a prof. I’m thrilled!! It’s my top choice and it’s very likely that I will commit.
