Already posted earlier about a letter. Got my official offer today, with funding-- so happy!!!

Waitlisted after an interview over Skype. Very disappointing as this was my first choice.

22k TA'ship upgraded to about 26k per academic year for an "excellent record," plus a 2k signing bonus. Guaranteed Summer support for the first year, and opportunities after that.

Was a little worried after seeing other offers come in, but I guess the admits are staggered a little bit?

I am sorry to inform you that the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Penn State University was not able to accept you for admission to our graduate program. Due to the large number of applicants who entered our program in the last two years, we were restricted in the number of applicants we could accept for the current academic year. We are limited by both faculty and monetary resources. We can admit only a fraction of the many qualified applicants. Since our decisions were based on faculty specific research needs and due to the large volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide additional feedback on individual applications. We wish you luck in your pursuit of higher education.

Rejected with 3.5 years of research in industry. Good letters of recommendation from mentors and professors. Good GPA. GRE scores were okay. Two co-authored papers, but no first-author papers. I had talked to two professors I hoped to work with. Did not expect this.
