BA, MA, first year PhD student at different (equally ranked) university. Had to apply to switch to a new PhD program because of a personal situation with my partner. Despite great recs, solid SoP, writing sample that was published article, several other articles in prep, and an MLA panel organized, programs don't seem to like the idea of someone leaving a different PhD for them. Great app. results last year (9 acceptances), but so far 3/3 rejections this year.

Funding information coming soon.

I am stocked!! the letter came with very generous 4-year funding including TA! So happy and grateful :)

Wasn't a good fit.

Bummer

Funded :) GPA = MA

My # 5 school on the list rejected me. Thank you! My head is held up high regardless.

That is it. I am done waiting. Tuition waiver. Medical insurance. Stipend of $ 2083.33 per month. I am going to accept this offer. The offer of my dreams.

Woke up to find a voicemail from Sam Chang.
