I received my official letter of acceptance, from the department and university graduate office. No word on funding. Those of you also accepted, have you heard any word on funding? Thank you!

Congrats to those who were admitted!

Email from department director

To the other Rutgers person - I got the same email and was so excited at first that I called my mom! On further reading it seems to be a generic invite to all applicants...?

I just received an email inviting me to the department CAA reception. It starts with "You're the applicants from whom the faculty of the Department of Art History at Rutgers University will select the entering fall 2017 cohort of graduate students." Did everyone receive this invitation or is this a sign that I am a finalist?

Not particularly upset since there wasn't a great match for the area I want to study and I have offers from two other schools.

I'm an international student applying 2 years in a row. It seems like their usual practice is to postpone their deliberation re international students. It's better to e-mail them straight away I guess, because they last year they updated my status in May. Haven't heard back from them so far.
