I was notified I was placed on the "waiting list for an interview." I was also told to wait until January for more information about whether I will be interviewed or not.

3.7 UG in biology, a year and a half research experience (2 presentations, 0 pubs), straight from undergrad

3 years undergrad research, 1 year as a lab tech. One first author paper under revisions, another in preparation and a third author in preparation. Multiple local and national presentations, NIH internship and lots of research awards. But I have a low GPA (3.0) so I'm sure that killed me, congrats to those with interviews.

I was one of the posts below who got a UCSF neuro interview and just wanted to share that I have a few years of part-time research, zero masters degrees, and zero publications.

I graduated undergrad from UIC so I know the school and staff very well. Have been in contact with them.

2 years undergrad research at an R1, 4 years full-time research experience as RA then as lab manager. 2 papers published, 1 in review, and 2 more in prep as middle author. One in prep as first author. Many posters at local and national conferences and 1 poster award. Did not take GRE

Email went out this morning inviting me to one of the two interview weekends in February. 3 years of full-time research experience, M.S. from R1 university, and 3 publications.
