recieved unofficial email from POI saying that it was unlikely I would recieve an offer. =/

Emailed the physics dept. at IU to see if they've started making decisions and to ask status of my app. They didn't answer the first question yet they said my app. was still under review. Has anyone else heard from IU?

Got an email saying my application is being considered for second-round admission. Historically, I haven't heard of anyone hearing anything positive after this. Did anyone else get the same email?
