Found out through a text telling me to sign up for accepted student's day. Found the email in spam, so if you're waiting, double-check! 3.92 Overall 3.99 Major (Physics). Significant computational research, well rounded. Interviewed in November, just got my acceptance, thought that the ship had sailed, very excited and good luck to others!

Power Electronics student got into the Applied Electromagnetics and RF Circuits research area but did not get into the actual power/energy groups. I feel like they do not recruit more than a couple of students to that area due to financial reasons this year. I also attended the visiting week back in early Feb.

From India- BITS Pilani. Did not appear for GRE ; Had a GPA of 8.48 while applying ; 1 journal paper in relevant field ; No industrial/research internships.

Got a mail from the ECE dept. Recommended for admission to Grad. Dean's office. The email also had an official letter and funding info ( Tuition + GSR). They have asked me to give a reply by 15th April. First acceptance. (Track: Computer Eng. in ECE dept) Really excited!!!!! Profile: Top 7 IIT Grad. , Decent CG:8.5( Had really good grades in Dept courses and also did dept. Honors), No publication, 2 Years Company Exp(Startup in the same research field), Final Year thesis also in the same field. GRE: 325, TOEFL 104( Don't think these 2 matters, but just act as a qualifying criterion).

Totally unexpected! I seriously don't understand what they expect.

TTPB (those who got rejected on 19 March): Did they actually post a rejection letter on the portal? Are they not considering PhD rejects for Masters?
