Waiting for funding. @the poster below: Did you hear of your funding yet? A professor called me telling me that he would nominate me for a merit scholarship, but that funding is always uncertain.

call from one poi and welcoming email from another. 5 years full funding with 2 non-service years.

This is high on my list! A few more schools to interview at!

A professor directly called me without any email in advance. He asked me about my research interests and dissertation topic. Got my admission letter a week after.

"wait list for interview" = interview with POI. Spoke with program coordinator and the interview notifications will go out after February 10th.

I had a skype interview with my POI via skype last week and he invited me to on-campus intevriew. He said that I would receive formal invitation from the department soon, but nothing comes up yet. Did anyone already receive formal invitation from the department? Thank you very much.
