Not WL. Why did the student who applied for the MS&E program at Columbia University joke that the admissions committee was using a "Magic Conch Shell" to review applications? Because it felt like the committee was asking the conch shell for answers like "Maybe someday" or "I don't think so"! The student imagined the committee members holding the conch shell to their ears, hoping for guidance, but receiving vague and ambiguous responses. It left them feeling like their fate was determined by a mystical and enigmatic conch shell that offered little clarity in the admissions process, adding an element of humor and absurdity to the situation!

March no update, reject directly

Not WL. Does anybody has received any updates?

Ignored the waitlist. Anyone got any news from UBC??? They are so quiet and slow in process…… I'm dying for waiting!

Admission is very competitive, it's okay to be rejected. Cheers to every applicant's efforts

Can't believe I waited until April to see a rejection from them... I emailed them what's up with my application and they rejected me right after.

Admitted off the waitlist (Mar, 24)

CS@CU MS Bridge Program. Summer 2023 term. Biology Undergrad. No GRE.

Rejected off the waitlist

Received an email from the program yesterday evening noting my acceptance. I was expecting a rejection after another GC user heard back days before me. Still waiting for the official letter to upload on the portal.

Got a mail last night. No funding.

Emailed the PI about application status and was informed that I got rejected.

Applied to the MS/Ph.D. track and got rejected, got offered the MS-only program. Will be attending UC Berkeley instead.

Rejected off of the waitlist, relieved to finally have a final answer :)
