Any words?

Was asked to come for campus visit day, which I did. Got to meet potential advisers who were very excited. Got the acceptance email a few days after. Full funding, housing, stipend.

Response to question: My area of interest was listed as ML/AI as applied to Computational Neuroscience / Neural time series data. POIs are Systems.

I had one interview with POI earlier in Feb. Area is ML/NLP.

To the American student who got admitted to UCI and had skype with two professors, may I ask your area? Thank you.

to the poster below- no, not yet. They sent me a username a month ago but havnt heard anything from them since.

Has anyone received a response?

Had Skype interview with 2 professors several weeks prior to getting official email with acceptance letter, with professors telling me at end of Skype interview they were recommending me for admission

Received email from the associate dean. Sad but expected because I wasn’t invited for an interview.

To the poster below: Thanks for the input. You are right, visit days will definitely play an important role as I get to meet the faculty in person. I will know my final decision soon.

To the poster below: Keeping everything else constant, and considering only quality of research and placement, would you root for Purdue > UCI > UCSC?

UCI vs. UCSC vs. Purdue? Any opinions on which of these would be best for International Economics (International Trade), Labor Economics (Unemployment) and Economic Growth and Development?

Newer program I may check out! Thoughts?

Never received any email or any notification, was getting frustrated so I had to dig through my emails to find the portal link they sent me and that's how I found out. Who knows how long that decision had been there. Welp.
