For the archaeology track!

called by graduate program chair for acceptance. Mentioned that while in the past funding was easily secured for their MA students this year they cannot offer funding YET but will still work to secure it for top MA students. Said that it had more to do with the number of applicants this year as opposed to issues regarding COVID. Applied here as Master's student since their direct to PhD path is more rare (like european system) according to POI but they mentioned they'd want me on as a PhD student after Masters!

Awaiting approval by GAO - Awaiting approval by the Central Graduate Admissions Office.

Has anyone else heard from PWL? I've seen one interview notification. If the poster from Jan 4th sees this- do you know if acceptances went out? Good luck!

To the last post about UC Davis: I do not know because I haven't spoken with my POI yet, but personally, I don't think they've sent out all admissions - my POI said she emailed me in advance because she wanted me to know the news sooner. So don't be too worried!!

To the comment below. No, I did not have an interview. I just received an email. I am cultural anthropology.

Received an e-mail today (1/28) from a department administrator for an invite to a Zoom interview with department members to take place either next week (w.o 1/28) or the week that follows (w.o 2/7).

To the last post about UC Davis, thank you and congratulations. BTW do you know if they have sent out all admissions? I'm kind of worried.

I received a phone call from my POI a few hours back to let me know that they had recommended me for admissions to the graduate school and about an upcoming recruitment event where I am can meet and talk with faculty and students.

Poster below, did you interview? Are you cultural anthropology?

Follow to the post about my phone call with my POI, they let me know I had unofficially been accepted and they were putting me up for the new named graduate fellowship. I am very excited!
