Not sure if it was an official or unofficial interview, but they called it a mini-interview.

Last year results for these schools came out in the first week of February. Any info on release dates?

Applied to the materials field 2 years ago but failed. I am surprised to succeed this time without changing much of my application material, still with only a first-authored paper. So don't give up if you have only been rejected once!

2 years undergraduate research, two poster presentations, 3 very good LoRs. I felt like I flopped my interview (should've rehearsed the obvious questions much more) but thankfully I did well enough.
