10 years of research experience, two publications, one REU, one conference presentation, 1 Ivy League rec+4 recommenders literally from ASU. Letter from POI, who I worked with as an undergrad. She said my letters were fantastic. Not even waitlisted. Said I wasn't ranked high enough. Good luck to all other applicants. I recommend asking the program director if you haven't heard yet whether or not you're waitlisted or rejected.

Did not supply GRE. 2 years of undergraduate research. Accepted at equivalent schools.

Interviews went badly. Still got in. TTPB whose interviews went well: my interviews went well at one school which rejected me, and badly at two schools now that have both accepted me. I honestly think they know who they're going to let in before we even interview. So strange...

Interviewed on 1 Feb, rejected on 22 Feb.

TTPB: I was also invited to interview on the 14th. Have you heard back?

Was told that the last year has been unusual, as a result they are being extremely cautious in the number of offers this year. So they put me on the WAITLIST. They said they'll contact regularly if there is a place released. So if anyone is sure to deny the offer, it is highly appreciated that you do DENY and NOTIFY the admissions office as EARLY as possible. THERE IS A WHOLE LIST OF PEOPLE WAITING.

2 first author papers ,2 middle and 2 years of research in the US. Email to check. Generic letter from the department. At this point I think they selected all the positions.
