Got 10K per annum funding

Rejected a fully-funded offer from Duke on April 15 around 6pm.

Email to check website. Rejected off the waitlist. Seems like they've filled all their places for this year.

Rejected, was on the waitlist. Though I already know they haven't admitted anyone from the waitlist for years so this is sort of expected.

No surprise, was previously on the waitlist and told that no waitlisted student has been admitted in at least the last five years

I contacted them last week and they basically said they couldn't provide more information.

Did anyone contact and hear back from the program?

Surprised rejection as I had a great interview with a faculty of interest who had good funding and no other interest in the project. I've heard from a current Duke grad student that they are aren't admitting many new grad students due to the pandemic affecting the budget. So to all you other rejects - don't take it personally.

accepted off waitlist

Had a below-Duke-average GRE scores but a Fulbright scholarship and a strong marine background. I was interviewed on late November, which I thought went pretty well.

Mail to check portal. I am a little sad because the professor I had an interview with seems like an amazing adviser and I would have been very happy to work with him.

Has anyone on Duke's waitlist tried contacting them? I emailed the PhD assistant two weeks ago saying I'm really interested in going but never heard back. I saw a post days ago that got a response from Duke. Does anyone know whom to email? Really desperate here.
