Pretty surprised by this. Master's degree 3.7 GPA from good statistics school

Not from Statistics background but have been working in analytics for 3 years. Can't explain disappointment in words :( What can I do this year to get an admit for fall'20 at least?

rejection letter sent me twice !!!

Domestic student, applied to PhD program w/ a master's degree and work experience

So they don't have a day off on President's Day???

This is a firm rejection.....

around 400 applicants

Can't believe what is happening...

Had interview with two professors in Programming Languages and Theory.

Nothing special in my profile.

I asked the department and got this diplomatic answer 😔 “The Graduate Admissions Committee began reviewing applications in mid-January. Preliminary offers will be made in mid to late February. Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail with a formal offer letter to follow by regular mail. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by e-mail.”

Has anyone heard anything about when they will be sending acceptance/rejection letters for the MA program in comparative lit? I reached out to the department but have heard nothing back. I saw that PhD applicants got responses in January, so I'm wondering how different the timescale is for MA applicants.

GPA is grad, 1a/1w/2r /12

very sad
