Astrostats + observation. ~1.5 years research experience, 2 first author pubs in ApJ, a few talks/posters, strong LORs, strong statement, no big awards, no GRE, no teaching experience. Emailed potential advisors in October + November but was ignored. No interview. Honestly a little surprised because my physics background is relatively weak. 4/0/5 accept/reject/waiting. Virtual visit March 31 - April 1.

NO INTERVIEW. Has anyone else heard from NYU? Are they doing interviews?

Did anyone receive an interview request from NYU? They had said they'll be interviewing this cycle.

Anyone else been interviewed from this track?

Master's GPA listed

I HAVE NOT BEEN WAITLISTED but has anyone heard anything yet from the American Studies department at NYU? It has been pretty silent everywhere.

Email to check portal. The status on my portal disappeared about a day before getting accepted. There was no info about funding initially, but later I got an email from the chair informing me about the School of Engineering Fellowship. Everybody who gets admitted to the Ph.D. program at Tandon gets this fellowship.

Disappointed.

NYU Tandon MS CS. Don't know what went wrong. I thought it was a safe university for my profile.

Expected.

Applied to Tandon MSCS program

3 research papers, 3 internships, excellent LORs. Looks like nyu has become more selective than iyvs looking at the other profiles being rejected
