Does this program always have an interview for selection? Has anyone else received the interview?

Bachelor degree in Econometrics from an eastern european university, cum laude, strong SOP/LORs, weak GRE (I think), research and internship experience, received a rejection letter from 8/2/22: Thank you for having applied to our University. We regret to inform you that your application to the Statistics MSc programme at ETH Zurich has not been successful. The admissions committee of the Department has carefully weighed the qualifications, competences and level of mastery you document in your application for admission to the Statistics MSc programme against this programme's profile of requirements. Unfortunately, the committee has decided that your qualifications do not fulfil these requirements, and we must therefore reject your application. We thank you for your interest and wish you all the best for your future. Good luck to all the other applicants!

The Statistics Admissions Committee has completed their initial application review and have decided to place you on the waitlist for Statistics PHD - Statistics program. We received many applications and want to offer feedback in a timely manner. The committee will continue to consider your application and you will receive an update in about two weeks regarding your status.
