Interviewed this morning. Received interview invitation last week.

Rejected through portal, no email received

1 publication (2 if counting thesis), several posters/presentations/talks, double major, equivalent of 14 months of research experience. However, I lacked bio background.

Hey everyone! Does anyone know if they are calling for interviews or directly giving offer/rejections?

same rejection via portal as other HASTS -- won't send formal rejection until march 1 in case they want to extend interviews further. honestly feel so fine about this one! wrong program.

"Jan. 28 update: Our admissions committee has extended interview invitations to everyone we anticipate interviewing, and we have now received confirmation of receipt from all of them. We will most likely admit from this pool of applicants, but are not sending out final admissions decisions to the rest of the applicants in case the committee decides to extend interview invitations to a few more applicants. We expect to email final notifications to those who were not interviewed by March 1."

Call from one of the interviewers

Did my best. Dobby is free

Rejected through portal, generic message... whatever, I'm over all this. Literally have research and letters from MIT engineering profs but guess that means nothing.

'The number of applicants for admission to this graduate program greatly exceeds the number of strong applicants that can be accommodated. We appreciate your interest in the department and sincerely wish you continued success in your professional studies elsewhere.'
